The G Spot Pub
Our friendly pub in Cato Ridge
History, special days, facilities, etc
Our History
The G Spot Pub and Diner is a licensed bar and restaurant situated on the premises of Cato Ridge Electrical Construction, which is easily visible from the N3.
The bar was originally built in 1989 by Kim Petersen as an unofficial space for the company artisans to meet up after work. In 1990 Peter Petersen opened the venue to visitors and Mara joined him later that same year. In 2001, after a multitude of renovations, alterations and additions to the building, it was registered as a licensed pub and restaurant.
Our Premises
Set in beautiful landscaped gardens just off the N3, our premises boast uninterrupted power and water supply, safe and secure parking with CCTV monitoring, a stunning deck, a family friendly venue with a putt putt area for kids
These are all protected by electric security fencing and a manned security gate.
Ja Bru Club
Wednesday evening is “Ja Bru” night. This is a long-standing tradition that was originally started in 2008 and has progressed to the point where we now have over 100 members scattered all over the country and even overseas. You needn’t be a member to attend Ja Bru nights, this is open to absolutely everyone.
If you’re unaware of what a “Ja Bru” is, our definition is “Someone who promises wholeheartedly and with the deepest conviction to attend a gathering … and doesn’t pitch up”.
To become a Ja Bru member, you need to attend 10 consecutive Ja Bru evenings. You will then receive an embroidered shirt with your nickname on the chest. Your nickname is decided by existing Ja Bru members.
A year-end event is held to honour (and tease) members and visitors who have attended throughout the year as well as to hand out fun awards and random prizes.
